A FUN PROJECT IS IN THE WORKS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

WILL YOU JOIN US?

Next year, we are bringing back the popular “Match the Author to the Story” game.

Here’s how it works:  Several brand-new stories will be posted for you to enjoy, along with a list of authors’ names. Then, you’ll be challenged to match each story to its author.  To help with your detective work, we’ll also provide links to the authors’ previously written stories to help familiarize you with their style, “voice”, and interests.

It’s a win-win situation! You’ll have new fanfic to enjoy while discovering oldies but goodies that may be new to you, plus you’ll hone your detecting talents. 

But before any of this can happen, we need authors to volunteer to write those new stories!  Here’s what you need to know:

Each author will write a story that contains the following three key elements. 

Theme/elements: Vincent, Winterfest, a conversation that changes a life.   

Each story must contain those three factors.  After that, anything goes!

Length:  500 – 2000 words 

Rating:  Anything up to PG-13

Season:  Classic or 3S accepted

Deadline: November 1, 2023 (firm)

Authors, with your story submission, please include info for finding your other BatB stories online, including an accessible link. This info will be included in the Match Game to help game players figure out who wrote what.  If you are a writer new to BatB, but have published in other fandoms, please send that info and link instead. 

You may send your story – edited and ready to be posted – and/or any questions to:
