STEP 2: VALENTINE’S DAY

Catherine gave Vincent time to decorate the apartment. When she returned, she was amazed at what she saw. There were red balloons everywhere. On a table were red roses in a vase, chocolates, and champagne.

Looking at her, Vincent said, “Last year, I resolved to take the first step toward our dream of being together.”

She was teary-eyed. “You kept that resolution. Our last year was so passionate.”

He knelt on one knee and opened a tiny box. Inside was a gold ring with a heart-shaped crystal in the middle. “Catherine, step two requires your answer. Will you marry me?”
