• Father loses everything and meets Grace, who takes him Below. See Song of Orpheus. He carries tickets from 1952 in his pocket.

1953

• Birth of Devin. He was born in the second part of the year, since in Promises of Someday. Father says Grace took him Below in the Winter.

1955

• January 12th. Birth of Vincent. See God Bless the Child. Father tells the children, “It was the 12th of January.” See Dead of Winter. “A third of a century. You were a babe in arms.” 33 years from 1988 equals 1955. And since this conversation takes place in late 1988 or early 1989, Vincent was still a babe, almost 1 year old, which allows for time for the events relayed in Ceremony of Innocence to occur. Anna finds Vincent on January 12th, 1955, and throughout that year, John becomes obsessed with him, murders his wife Anna when she tries to turn the child to Father’s care, and is ultimately vanished from the community.

 

• The first Winterfest is celebrated either at the end of that year or the beginning of 1956.

1956

• Birth of Lisa. See Arabesque. She tells Vincent Palmieri saw her dance in 1978 and tells Palmieri she was then 22.

1958

• Birth of Catherine. See A Happy Life. It’s the 20th anniversary of her mother’s death, and she died when Catherine was 10 years old.

1967/ first half of 1968

• Devin leaves the tunnels. See Promises of Someday. He left twenty years ago, when he was 14.

1968

• Death of Catherine’s mother. See A Happy Life and Catherine’s birthday entry.

1970

• Lisa leaves the tunnels. Although it is not mentioned in Arabesque, the episode’s script says Vincent’s flashbacks are from when he was 15.

1983

• Catherine breaks her engagement to Steven. See Down to a Sunless Sea. She says she hasn’t seen him in five years since they broke up. This episode takes place in 1988, shortly after Vincent and Catherine’s first anniversary.

1987

• April 12th. Vincent and Catherine meet. See the Pilot. Although Catherine’s file indicates the date of the attack being 1986, Edie’s computer read 1987. And there is another evidence in the following timeline entry.

 

• October 9th. The attack on the elderly tenants and Vincent’s rescue from Siege takes place. See What Rough Beast. Spirko mentions this exact date, October 9th, 1987.

 

• October 31st. Vincent and Catherine share their first Halloween. See Masques.

1988

• February 17th. Lynn and Henry get married days after. See China Moon. It begins with celebration of the Chinese New Year, which in 1988 was on this date.

 

• April 12th. Vincent and Catherine’s first anniversary and the exchange of the crystal and the rose.

 

• Christmas week. Lena’s baby – Little Catherine – is born. – See God Bless the Child.

 

• If you follow the airing order of episodes, Catherine’s first Winterfest took place before Christmas, (late 1988). If you follow production order, it took place after that week, (early 1989).
