THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG

SUMMER, 2022

For our summer CABB Challenge, we asked writers to choose a song with lyrics that have a connection to a BatB character or situation and write a story to show how the song resonates with their chosen character or situation. The possibilities for the connections might be personality (e.g., Mouse’s eccentricity), a life event (e.g., Henry and Lin’s wedding), a philosophy or perspective (e.g., to give and accept help), everyday life Above or Below (e.g., a concert in the park), or a special event (e.g., Winterfest).

This challenge, derived from a great idea by PearlAnn Snowstar, inspired our wonderful writers to create yet another collection of imaginative, diverse, and intriguing stories for you to enjoy. You might even find yourself singing along as you read them!
