NO ONE TOUCHES MY TOY BUT ME
by PearlAnn SnowStar
I’m in my hidey-hole playing
With my well-worn toy.
I hear my Mouse come grumbling.
“Arthur, come here, my boy.”
He’s going to take it away,
Again, I don’t know why.
Still good in every way.
If I don’t have it, I cry.
It’s an old stuffed kitty.
That’s lost some of its fluff.
The fabric may be dingy,
That’s’ ‘cause I play so rough.
Took old kitty away
Replaced it with one new.
I was quite sad all day
And in a grumpy stew.
Found it among the trash
Still good for many years.
Grabbed it, and made a dash
My Kitty! Now, no more tears.
