Twenty-five-year-old Vincent was deep in thought as he roamed the tunnels. His childhood friend Molly was Above getting married at this exact moment. Most of the community was attending this special occasion. Yes, he was happy for her, but a twinge of sadness overcame him.

Without realizing it, he found himself on the Whispering Bridge.

Vincent took a step and heard the sound of a ukulele playing a few strands. With his curiosity piqued, he froze to listen.

Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what’s on the other side?
Rainbows are visions
But only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it
I know they’re wrong, wait and see.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Vincent smiled slightly as the next verse started.

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
Look what it’s done so far
What’s so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

All of us under its spell
We know that it’s probably magic…

A tear slowly rolled down Vincent’s cheek.

I‘ve heard them calling my name

That calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it:

As the song ended, Vincent smiled through his tears. “Yes, we will find it…. Someday!”

Catherine closed her eyes as the last of the song faded to nothing. She brushed away a stray tear and smiled. “Yes, Someday!!”
