OVER THE RAINBOW

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There’s a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true …

Once upon a time there was a city called New York. A city of lights, high skyscrapers, crowded streets. The city that doesn’t sleep.

I was a boy coming to this world above for the first time. It has always been described to me by Father’s tales and I imagined about it, reading stories like “The Wizard of Oz” and “Alice in Wonderland”.

Now I’m here.

An angelic girl dressed in white is next to me: she’s smiling at me, giving me her hand and saying: “Don’t be afraid, Vincent, I’m with you.”

Everything is surrounded by a shining light, the green trees in the parks, the colors of flowers and funny clothing of people around us, the crowded streets.

Nobody is noticing me and I feel free, entranced. I want to know everything by exploring step by step this world not so far from mine.

The girl talks to me, showing many beautiful things, and now, lying under a tree, we look up and… WOW, an amazing view: the blue spring sky and the shining sun!

The light reflects in our eyes and, suddenly, a rainbow arises. It’s wonderful! It makes us dream and we feel a special bond between our worlds made of love and compassion.

We start walking through the rainbow and, at the end, we hug and the girl vanishes promising me that we’ll never ever be apart.

What a wonderful world over the rainbow!

Now I know that love and beauty are for all and I’m a happy boy trusting that the rainbow is real!

Suddenly…. I open my eyes, awakening. I have a calm and peaceful expression on my face and…. Catherine is close to me, smiling at me and holding our son Jacob in her arms… Oh… the same unforgettable smile of the girl in my dream…

The two worlds are now one – forever and no matter what.

The rainbow uniting them has a name: Catherine and Vincent…

And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true.

Art has always been with him since his childhood and released during the hardest time of his life.

As a child, while recovering from a serious illness he started drawing using a pencil or a charcoal and, after having emerged victorious from this battle, he expressed his Hymn to Life also through canvas and colors.

His style, typically figurative, is represented in modern paintings made in acrylic to give emphasis and vitality to the subjects. Sometimes his creations differ completely from reality, with a peculiar and highly imaginative view, special prospective and colored effects perceptible in the pursuit of lights and shadow contrasts.

He always proposes to the public a new vision of his paintings facing innovative and multi-faceted/stylized compositions.

This will make him immortal through the amazement in the eyes of people watching and appreciating his paintings looking at images conveying strength and intensity of the lines, sensitivity and charm of the subjects, happiness of colors.
