CABB’s 2021

April 12th Challenge

EXTRAORDINARY VOICES

EXTRAORDINARY VOICES

APRIL 12th, 2021

Everyone – and everything – has a story to tell. But not everyone – or everything – has found someone who is willing to listen. A person with imagination, curiosity, and an open mind. A person like you.

Maybe you’ve longed to hear the secrets Catherine’s balcony doors might whisper, or perhaps you’ve imagined how the lava lamp feels about living with Mouse. You may have wondered if the clocks in Vincent’s chamber do more than merely tick or chime the hour, or if the crystal cavern has ever opened her heart to anyone.

There are so many stories needing to be shared, so many voices longing to be heard.

Extraordinary voices just waiting for someone to listen…

In this challenge, writers were asked to come up with a short story (three pages max) told from the point of view of a BatB-iconic object or location. Eight writers met the challenge and produced ten wonderful short stories. Thank You to all the participants!
