Secrets of Central Park

Aesthetic Is the view

by Mark Hanawalt

Inspired by the Hallett Nature Sanctuary

Water falls downward above the ground,
Waterfalls uplift the spirit under the ground,
Sublime is the feel of opposite directions.
Like feeling a sunset reflected
Off a beautiful mountain lake;
One right-side up; one up-side down;
Beauty & Beast is sublime completion of me.

Sublime is the union of opposites;
An evocative Romantic man of primal jungle beast,
With mindful control of such a one
Only comes out of invocation of her sublime touch.
She calms the breath, she stills the heart
Through energies not know to man or animal.
No wonder Vincent is the beautiful beast.

Angels come from above the sky,
Angels come from beneath the ground,
Oh Catherine, what must I do to take in all of you?
I can only listen in receptive silence,
Music from within, music from without, who is counting?
Visions from within, visions from without, who cares?
Take me to another place, another feel; you are the ultimate natural wonder.

Noble woman, noble man, noble scenes
In a world too hidden in noble secrecy.
I yearn to escape this mortal coil
To be with you, with them, with immortality.
Fair & Perfect Knights, Robin Hoods, chivalric antiquities,
I will to view you again,
Tales so great I will them to be true.
