Not my dream alone,
but our dream.
Not my world alone,
but your world and my world

~ Langston Hughes

On September 25, 2020, we published A Day in the Life Volume One, a collection of stories that explored the lives of beloved characters in the world Below. Each story was told from a single character’s point of view and gave insight to their lives, from ordinary, everyday events to special moments they’d cherish forever.

The characters are familiar to everyone who loves BatB, but many were never provided with a detailed backstory, nor were they featured extensively in the episodes. So many questions were left unanswered, and we couldn’t help wondering what we might find if we dug deeper.

Several gifted writers answered the call to join us in imagining answers to these questions. In Volume One, we learned why Jamie developed her skill with a crossbow, how Winslow’s early days in the tunnels helped shape his future, what Samantha wished for more than anything. But there were other voices who called out for their turn in the spotlight, and we knew there was so much more to say.

And so, we’re very happy to present A Day in the Life ~ Volume Two, filled with wonderful new stories about the lives of different tunnel characters. Have you ever wondered about Paracelsus’s ambitions beyond the tunnel world, or what happened the day after Lena returned to the tunnels? And exactly who is Erlik?

The writers really have outdone themselves once again! So, come Below and spend a day getting better acquainted with some amazing characters who live not only in “a secret place, far below the city streets” but always in our hearts.
