Have you ever wondered why Jamie carries a crossbow, how Samantha spends her time when she not doing schoolwork or delivering Winterfest candles, what Father and Mary might be up to when we’re not looking?
If you’d like answers to these questions – and several more – you’ll enjoy “A Day in the Life,” a collection of short stories designed to explore everyday life in the world Below.
Each story is told from a single character’s point of view and opens a window to life in the tunnel community as experienced by them. The characters are familiar but still mysterious, as many were provided little or no backstory.
We hope you’ll find these stories in this project (inspired by a conversation in the BBTV discussion group) intriguing, thoughtful … and even surprising.

What a way to celebrate 33 years……thank you so much. and now thanks to CBS Access I got to watch the Pilot and episode 2 binge watching this weekend has begun
33 years ago I found my dream
I am not as strange as I seem
OK Human/ET
that was me
But Sci Fi did not have the romance I crave
and then….well here is the tv show in my heart I do save
Catherine is alive and well and below
with Vincent her beau
and their family it could not be otherwise

This project was a lot of fun for me and the stories everyone submitted were really creative and meaningful. These characters have such rich lives now! I think of them all in different lights. Thanks, everyone, for writing.

So looking forward to seeing all the stories, and wallowing in fiction. I can hardly believe it’s been that long since our fave show started. A bit later for me, being down under, but once I saw it, that was it. Still a HUGE fan all these years later. Hope to catch up with y’all next year in Kansas. Much love’n’hugs, Skip
